Storia

Secondo mwfaStrabone, prima di abitare nella città di mwfqCoo, i suoi abitanti vivevano ad Astipalea, situata in un altro luogo dell'isola, sempre vicina al mare. La città di Coo venne fondata successivamente, per mwfgsinecismo, a causa di una rivolta nel mwfw366 a.C.cite-ref-1[1]cite-ref-2[2]cite-ref-3[3]

È stato suggerito che si trovava nella zona in cui sono le attuali rovine di Cefalo (mwjgKefalos), dove è stato trovato un santuario del mwjwV secolo a.C.cite-ref-han-4-0[4]
